Storing My Bike

So I am moving to Indianapolis for the summer But I am gonna have to leave my bike in Florida It really sucks because I just got my bike and now Im gonna have to leave it for 3 MONTHS. So know my problem is where and how do I store it.

Currently my plans are to put it in a storage unit. I have purchased one for my bike as well as my other crap that is air conditioned and covered. I don't really have any experience with storing bikes so I'm not sure if I should empty the fluids, brake fluid etc. b/c I'm definitely taking the gas out, or if I should just stick it in there. Last summer my roommate stored his scooter in a similar storage place but it was not air conditioned like the one I'm putting my bike in. Moisture and everything else are taken care of by the storage place as well.

Just looking for some advice. Thanks!

Since you're coming through Georgia, I'll let you store it at my house for free. I'll just need the keys in case I need to "move it around in the garage...."

Barring that, you should drain the gas out for safety and so it doesn't stink up everything else. All the other fluids should be fine. Also, check your tire pressure.

Thanks but I could store it at my permanent residence in GA if I was gonna ride it up there. From where I am in Fl to where I stay in GA is about 5.5hrs. Thanks for the post on the other thread too. If/when I get another bike it will definitely be new b/c I'm going to have to do a lot to this one to keep it in working order. I have already replaced the bent handlebars and am in the process of shopping for new carbs or atleast some carbclean.

Anyways if I ever do bring it up to GA ill def let you know and maybe we can ride, what part do you stay in? Also I dont have a center stand, do you think I need one or will the regular kickstand work fine?
