Okay, now I'm miffed (<-- only clean word I could think of)!

I was all set to ride my bike to work tomorrow. The weather is going to be amazing. The planets seem to be aligned just about right, then I realized that I have to go to the range tomorrow. This means that I have to take my ballistic helmet, vest, and all my other combat gear; I was so excited to ride, but of course I can't get all that stuff there on my bike. Darn!

Can't say as I have ever had to pack for anything like that, since I am not in the Military/LEO. I have been seen on more than one occasion with my AR15 slung over my shoulder on my way to the range. I get some odd looks from everyone... and ironically, no one seems to have any road rage directed toward me... But there are no laws against doing so, provided it isn't loaded. More than once, I have pulled in to the range under the hawk eyes of many state troopers on the line.

And there are tail/tank bags to stow quite a bit of gear. So other than days on which I have to wear a full suit to work, weather is the only reason I wouldn't ride in to work.

Not really for I know that every Sunday & a specific evening of every week I must be at the run range to open up the indoor section or be there for my volunteer bit since '74 has been THAT JOB for I am the h/gun Director/Instructor for all those years.

The Sunday bit is a relief for I am not out with all the crazy cage drivers on Sunday while I am not a keen evening rider. Fortunately being retired I can ride Monday to Saturday though once holiday time comes about I ALSO skip riding on Saturday AND never on long week-ends.

My only thing is to know my guns have been cleaned, that I have 22 ammo, along with my reloads for 9mm, 38 Spl, & 45ACP & in many cases it is best to bring along a Ruger 22 MkII 5.5" bull bbl, in case we have a newbie wanting to take a try at h/gun shooting. Sometimes I am cought short handed & must loan him/her my S&W 617 X 6" to sometimes the High Standard Victor or Trophy (depending upon what I have in the gun case), but prefer not to on the latter what with 2.5lb trigger pull.
