It's about time

We finally had a break in the weather here in the buckeye state. Clear skies and ~50 degrees so I couldn't resist the opportunity to get the bike out. I knew it wouldn't be a "fun" ride due to salt/grit buildup especially at intersections and in the center of lanes. Runoff from melting snow had resulted in water running across the road in a couple places, and the past month of weather has caused some terrible potholes in many roads. But despite all that, the opportunity to get back on 2 wheels was awesome. But now I got the itch even worse! Can't wait for spring to roll around, with a couple decent rainy days to wash off the roads.

I was comming from the h/gun range to note four solo m/c riders, going in different directions, on Hwy 97 at around 1:30pm. For the temp was 40F & in our part of North America that is warm. Mind you they were all bundled up to the maximum for the air is COLD even if trotting from town to city.

Even though no melted snow & pavement dry it was covered with salt/sand.

I've been out in the 40's and even 30's before (never ventured out below that). This year though I haven't been that desperate but like I said today was just too nice compared to the teens and 20's I've been seeing lately.

I think it just made it worse! It's supposed to be 60 today, but by the time I get off work the rain is supposed to be here, so that puts a damper on things and tomorrow it's back to 20's and 30's. Sounds like about the same boat you're in, give or take a few degrees.

I can at least commiserate with you, except due to responsibilities I couldn't even get out yesterday

Hopefully you can make it out today before the storms move in.
