Another "what to buy" thread

just need some opinions.
07 R6 for 6999$
or
08 R6 for 9599$ ?

Ive read quite a bit on the new 08 and definitely like some of the suspension upgrades etc. And it comes in black... biiigg plus for me. But is it worth the 2500 difference, + sales tax?

I'd definately buy the leftover. I bought my bike brand new as a leftover in 06 and got it for 8000 out the door. When it comes to a bike I'll always look to buy new becuase I just don't trust how the previous owner treated the bike.

I'd take the extra 2500 and add it to the track budget.

Taking the 07 and saving the $2500 is a no-brainer to me.

I just had the choice of a 07' 600RR for $8800 OTD or
a 08' for $10,500 OTD for a difference of $1700.
It was an Eeeasy choice for me. Thats alot of accessories worth of savings!

Well, 7300 OTD, basically the dealer is selling the bike the 6999 plus 4.25% tax. Im thinking good deal. I really wanted to get it for 7k OTD, because I'm cheap like that, But I think when the dealer calls me back tomorrow, I'll tell him I'll be ok with 7300, as long as he will give me actual cost on accessories.

Sound like a plan?

I have always gotten them to throw in the first service as the deal maker

I've never gotten more than 20% off in the parts. dept. But that makes things a pretty good deal at my shop so I guess it depends on their markup

That bike sounds like a pretty nice deal.
Besides, they need to make a buck or two if you want them to still be there when you need them. I dont mind giving my local shop a bit more.
