Russian Spam?

Right now we seem to be loaded with said Russian Spam---well who knows as Vash will not say yes of know. I guess no one, higher up, knows how eliminate them.

Mind you it could be Iraq or Afghanistan in broken English----that might be a stinker.

I think the best way would to mix up the account registration process. They seam to be able to auto fill the standard user form for vBulletin. by the way they are bot's (programs) posting this and not actual people.

I just really want a bike with a turbo, because their are those times when you pull up too a stop light next to a cop, and I think a really loud PPTTTSHIIISHHHHHHHH would make his day. =P

It's the first forum just as Aprilia is the first avatar and their bike is always 1. the messages themselves are pre-written and the forum automatically converts normal text to smilies

for example try typing the common firefox plugin's address aboutlugins <--- it contains the standard smiley.

about:Plugins <--- without capitols incase you didn't figure that out.

Considering the bots havent been banned, and the threads havent been deleted, I'm starting to think there are no more mods around, and its a free for all.

If I was leading a troll attack, now would be the time to strike

I see your point.

I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

Now, go away, or I shall taunt you a second time-a!

I couple of boards I know of have gone with a spam-prevention code - it's a picture generated with an alphanumeric code that isn't readable by bots. It works well, but the drawback is that it's a real pain in the ass to enter the code.

But then again people don't seem to post-whore here to much extent, so it probably wouldn't be much of a drawback.

That said, I thought a validation and e-mail confirmation was part of the registration process. How are these bot generated accounts filtering through?
