My god...If theres one thing that really annoys me it's this. People with no knowlege of motorcycles bashing sportbike riders because of the stereotype they have given us, all because of those damn squids you hear about regularly. They have got to understand that WE ARE NOT ALL LIKE THAT! The majority of us are safe and responsible riders, and more skilled than any cage driver.

What the DJ said was wrong and I hope no one takes him seriously. It's bad enough avoiding cages without having them actually take aim!

Despite being a Kawi owner, this made me LOL

Kawasakis should DEFINITELY be excluded from the list... You really can't go fast enough to hurt anyone on those things anyways.

As far as I'm concerned, that's admission right there:

9NEWS contacted the station's program director, Dave Symonds, who denied the show ever mentioned opening car doors to oncoming bikers, and had no further comment on the matter.

9NEWS also asked Alice 105.9 for recordings of this week's morning shows to hear for ourselves what was said. Symonds would not give them to us.
I opted to write a thanks to the 9News reporter for her follow-up. This being the first Monday following the reports I expect this to spread faster and garner more attention US-wide.

Why would a new director deny it was said when there were what, thousands, of listeners? Amazing.
