As a kid I had my leg drilled open by a mini-bike accident (6 years old) and didn't feel a thing. I stood up and walked a little woozy-like, knew I had just been hammered by the fan, but was okay. It wasn't unti l I saw blood that I did the usual screaming child thing, but I still didn't feel it.

I have since felt that adrenaline-numbness-euphoria like trance at least 20 times growing up over the following 34 years.... and all induced by two-wheeled "experiences".

Just show how excited we m/c riders are when riding, but then he could be loaded with booze & then it would sort of be the same though actual m/c riders are basically alert.
