yoshimura trc slip on..... help!

hey yall,
i recently purchased an 05' gixxer 1000 for 7700. It came with a yoshi trc pipe on it. Well i was washing it the other day and i noticed this white filmy stuff showing up on the end of the pipe after i washed it. I thought it was soap film so i went over it again with water but it shows up again when dried. Is there some sort of oil or somthing i could moisterize the pipe with to get this white pasty stuff out? Again its only on the end on the pipe. On a side note did i get a good deal on this bike? There wasnt a scratch on it and it had 2500 miles on it.

im an auto detailer. i would just use some metal polish to get rid of the spotting. it sounds like they are dried water deposits. use something like mothers or never dull. this should/will remove it and make it all nice and shiney.

If it's around the tailpipe, it could also be exhaust residue. If so, either carb cleaner or Windex and a little serious rubbing will remove it.......Never wash the pipe when hot......
