Speed show "Superbikes"

Did anyone catch this new show on Speed Channel tonight? I thought it was a poor representation of our sport.

Thumbs down

Yea, I saw the show. I am dissapointed with Speed's choice to cancel a show that protrayed motorcyclists in a positive light, and gave useful infomration and change to a show that makes us all look like drunken jack asses.

Thats a big thumbs down for Speed.

Pretty soon Speed will be like another Discovery channel. Choppers build at night, NASCARs during the day.

Does anyone remember what Discovery channel used to be like? When they used to show cool gadgets, and stuff about animals, nature and history? Now I only rely on History channel for daily dose of education.

I thaught that "PIECE OF CRAP" show made us sportbikers out to be nothing but a bunch of dangerous, stupid acting "beer drinking' squids! Sure it was kinda cool to see how the Streetfighters came into being, but showing them stunting on public roads and the crazy lane splitting,(I know it's legal in California, but on the right by the curb?) it was just crazy!

I almost turned it off but I thaught they might actually show some "real" sport bikers. I'm not disrespecting people who stunt, they have a skill I could never possess, but do they really need to show it on T.V. without gear on public streets? And the little disclaimer at the front.....what a joke.

I'll be e-mailing the Speed channel to let them know how disapointing there show was and how BAD it made motorcyclists look.

Yeah, that show really did cast a negative light on our lifestyle.

The episode of Corbin's Ride On that preceded it however, had great coverage of track day type instruction at Barber.

Yeah the show sucks but you have to admit one thing.

That sv650 that the mechanic built was bad freaking ass.

Also lets give a hand to the guy who had the helmet for a headlight cover. Yeah you got an original bike dude, no one else has that....... AND THERES A REASON FOR IT. You look like a tard.....

I had not posted in quite some time but reading the replies to the speed channel superbike presentation last night made me have to come to life again. Look guys, although some of the members here may be a conservative bunch many of us are not. What I saw on the program is what I see almost everyday. Wheelies, and stoppies in traffic, speeding in and out of traffic cutting through lanes through cars OK, it's not right, sorry guys, but it's being done. You can dissagree with it and call them squidly showboats or whatever. The program producers I'm sure did their research and decided that there was enough interest and riders out there interested in this type of programming. It's happening out there
