Question center clutch nut

the detent broke while removing my center clutch nut, and when I put the clutch back together (2x) the nut goes back to the broken detent every time. Is it ok to ride like that for a couple of days till I get another nut?98 cbr F3

Probably not! Think of the damage if it comes loose. Let alone leaving you stranded.

I had a fly wheel nut come loose because the "mechanic" didn't replace the nut with a new one. (The book clearly states not to use the old one). I was lucky it didn't wreck the motor and that I didn't come off when it locked-up. Somehow the bike kept running untill I got home. I thought it was the chain at first so I limped home but I was skeerd it would happen again the whole way.

I have since replaced the nut with an aftermarket jam nut and lotsa red.

A few ccs short of a full litre.
