Dirtbike or mods

I'm thinking about getting a dirtbike or I can spent the money($1500) for mods(X-treme Laser Exhaust, power comander, and powder coating swing arm, pegs, handlebars levers ). A friend turned me on to dirtbikes when he told me that you can go balls out and the only thing that holes you back is fear, on the street I have to worrie about cops. What would you do? Pro and con.

Grab an old honda dirtbike for less than a grand. You can do so much on those little bikes. Just make sure you can ride it in your area like you have a field, pasture, or a dirt mound. You can pratice doing motorcycle stunts on the small bikes without busting your balls so much and wrecking a nice new RR.

<- take it from me, I wrecked an RR

Dirtbike, all day.

You will be much happier with another two wheeler.

You will improve your street skills with the dirtbike also.

DIRT DIRT DIRT!

dirtbikes are sweet, i have a newer yz125....however, they do get kinda boring unless you have people to ride with. ive been riding dirtbikes for a long time, and when i was like 16 id go out to the local DNR off road area and bang around, but it got so boring by myself cause my buddies couldnt always go. its way more fun riding with people.

me though, im selling the dirtbike to help fund my new little project, my almost mint 1977 mustang cobra II.

I'd pick one up, but there's no place to ride a dirt bike in my area and not having a truck sucks at times. I was going to save up money to buy a beater truck... oh wellz, there goes that plan... and the new computer plan too.

I got a yx 250 and AI love it. The only thing that suck is that I have drill this weekend and I want to ride it some more.
