i know when you buy a car you get a 30 day temp. insurance if im not mistaken. is this the same with a motorcycle? and what is covered and how do you claim it, some s.o.b. tipped the bike over in a parking lot and no one saw, now i need new left side fairings.......

any help would be great thanks

Sorry to hear someone practiced cow tipping with your bike. But yea, if you cant find the person who did it and your not insured... then your only option is to pay it outta your pocket. What kind of bike do you have? I'd be happy to track down some low priced fairings online for ya.

The law varies from state to state. I doubt that anyone gives you a 30 day free ride on a new motorcycle.

Some give a certain time frame when trading a used bike for a new one until all of the info is processed by your insurance company.

When I purchased my 06 CBR here in TN I had to have an insurance rider in writing before they would let me have the bike. Meaning there is no grace period. In TN you are required to have insurance or proof of financial resposibility. Arkansas and NY have similar laws(been awhile since I had NY insurance though).
