Yamaha offering a refund.

Yamaha has apparently sent out letters to new owners of the 06 R6 offering a full reinbursement of money(in exchange for the bike, of course) if your not happy with your new 16000 rpm redline bike.

Gotta give Yamaha some props for backing up their mistakes. However, there may have been some legal issues for the their offering.

Yep... thats a nice politically correct way of saying "If you dont like it give it back. No? Ok then."

Props to yamaha. That putting their money where their mouth is.

You can imagine that someone, somewhere in the Yamaha company, is getting a "lecture" right now.

In God, we trust; all others must provide data.

"Those refunds are coming directly from your salary. That will be all."

Thats awesome. I wonder how much you can pick up a repurchased R6 for? To bad it didn't happen to the R1!

Give credit to the above, by Yamaha, for they have realized they must eat crow to survive. Mind you the big four in Jpn have a reputation of proper recalls to replace something that is not up to snuff.

When you think of some that are new to riding & buying some strange make from some part of Asia because it looks like one of the Jpn bikes & less in price they do not realize they are gambling their money for the dealer might not be there a few months later on or possibly lined up a better makers like possibly Duke or something like that & possibly got a good deal on some make of scooter so dropping said make of Asian bike for dealer found out it was months before he could obtain some normal part.
