Buying an r6, can someone do a vin check?

I know you can do it with cars, but can you run a bikes vin through a service to see its history? If so can someone please give me a link, or run it themselves?

Try google. A quick search there yielded a few decent looking results.

Looks like you pretty much know its history. If it has a salvage title and has had a bunch of crap replaced, it has been wrecked pretty bad. I have heard some horror stories about buying stuff with a ST.

Im thinking since it was a salvage by theft recovery the mechanics of it would be fine. The seller said that all the fairings were stolen off of it and some other things so the insurance company salvaged it.

Plus, theres no way i could find a clean titled r6 for that little.

is 22k miles too much? thanks for your responces!

22,000 miles? With a ST that not really that good of a deal. Look on ebay, just make sure to add around $550 for shipping. There are some crazy deals out there. But then I like to look at the shit before buying, most post a lot of pictures though. Good luck with that one...
