Need advice

I have been trying to sell my bike now for three months. I have not had one call on it. So my question is this, how much do you guys think I should ask for it. NADA is 4850, but I know I won't get that much for it. I have been asking 4400, but still nothing. I don't want to dump the price to much before spring, but I need to sell it.
The bike is a 2000 yzf R6 with 10.5K miles on it. Rear tire is pretty new, and comes with a bra and tank bag.

Hard to sell a bike when it's 10 degrees and there's ice and snow on the roads. I don't think your price is out of line. Have you tried E-Bay?

A few ccs short of a full litre.

Yea, I know this is not the time to sell it, I just wanted to get input to see if the price was about right. I see them on cycletrader selling anywhere from 4200 to 5500(more like sitting at 5500).

if theres no major problems or like huge scratches, I think 4400 is a good price for a 200 r6 in good-great condition. if you sold it during spring time, that would be gone in a week, tops.

You should probably lower the price to something more reasonable like 3k. Then buy a plane ticket from pittsburgh to kansas because riding your bike to pitt in january is really sweet.

that bike with 10k on it should bring 4400...i would market it out of your area....maybe take 4000 for it and give a insentive for somebody to drive a few hundred miles. i wouldnt let it go to cheap. if ya need money ya could use the bike for collateral and pay off the loan when ya sell it maybe in the spring.

It is at this time of year that the prices of 'used' bikes sell at low prices while in the spring till sometime into July-August they sell at higher prices, but then your bike will also be looked upon as a year older.

I have seen one or two year old 600s selling at well below half price for suddenly someone found the fad was gone, their friend no longer rides, marriage or financial problems THIS time of year.

this is not the time of year to be a seller but a good time for buyers if you want to get the price you want you will probly have to wait for spring, i recently got a 02 954 for 4550 so prices are low this time of the year. but on the up side if you are looking to buy this is the time hehehe.
