Is this a good deal?

2001 Kitana 600 with 8500 miles on it for 4800. Sounds high to me but I don't know anything. Also it has a sticker on the fairings that says "Drive it like you stole it"

should that concern me as to how the previous owner treated this bike? Need some input because I'm tired of shopping for a bike, I wanna get out and ride!

Well trade in blue book is $2455 Depending on condition and if he has added any parts I would say somewhere around $2700.

Always check www.kbb.com first and then depending on add ons and mileage gives us a shout and we will help you adjust.

2001 Suzuki GSX600F Katana

Edit: This link is for bike value if buying from a dealer. Here's a link for the trade-in value.

You can get a decent 2000ish r6 for under 4 grand now days. I remember when I was looking around, I saw lots of r6's going for 4-5 grand, but my price range was only 2-3 grand.

For that price, you should find a decent shape 2001+ gsxr600. My friend has an 03 gsxr600 with 6500 miles for 5 grand and it was in perfect shape minus a scratch or two. And since it is winter, prices should be a whole lot cheaper. I've actually seen some 2003-2004 CBR600RR's for 5-6 grand in my area.

I'm not looking for somthing that fast yet. I need way more seat time. The hardest part of this is not buying the first thing I see... I'm dying to get on the road again
