Gaskets

Most of you know Ive been working on my engine. My quick simple question is should I replace all the gaskets while the engine is in a bunch of pieces, or should I only worry about replacing the gaskets that sustained visable damage during the disassembly process?

Replace them all. They dont cost that much, and better safe than sorry. I'm sure you dont wan to take your engine apart after you done put it back together.

If you are that far into your engine, I don't think you should half ass the repair. I've been there done that with my Dads truck. I told him to replace the slave cylinder while I had the Tranny out. He tried to be cheap and not replace it. A year later, I had the tranny out of the truck again to replace it.

+1 to everything these guys are saying. New gaskets, seals, rings, and bearings should go into a motor any time you rebuild it.
