A challenge!

I need a pair of armored textile overpants badly.

As the temps go down, I want to continue using my bike to commute as much as possible, so I went down to the Honda dealership where my mother works to order the JR Alter Ego jacket and pants at her cost.

Unfortunately, it turns out it couldn't be shipped until the first of the year due to extreme backorder.

I have a black/grey/white JR Meteor 4.0 that I got from www.newenough.com (which I just found out two days ago was only water-resistant) and I would like a set of armored textile overpants, in XL size, as quickly and cheaply as possible.

Cheap only because I plan on getting the Alter Ego set in the spring and using that as my commuting gear. Hopefully, I'm getting some leathers and racing boots sometime this winter that I can joyride in and anticipate some track days in the spring.

Let's hear some suggestions!

Go too cheap and they'll be worthless in a get off.

This is what I wear. Dririder Nordic. Cost me about AUD$200. They've got a side entry, so you don't get any water in your crotch. I've ridden through heavy rain and no water has gotten through them yet. Also have armour in the knees and they're warm as toast.

In God, we trust; all others must provide data.
