Your First Bike

What was the very first motorcycle that you ever rode? It can be a dirt bike, sportbike, or a cruiser.
The first bike that I ever rode was a 1980 Honda CMT 400.

All I can remember was that it was a 80, I think. I was 7 or 8 years old. I couldnt turn it very good so it took me about a block to make a turn and I couldnt pull in the clutch. My dad would stop me. I think it was a honda. I tipped it over all the time, but I have been hooked every since and that was 23 years ago. Since then I have had a number of bikes but right now I have a 2003 volusia for cruising with the wife and a 98 cbr900rr which she does not like to ride on. Lucky me

Suzuki X6 Hustler, like this one:

250 cc 2-smoker with a 6-speed gearbox! It was the shiznit when I was 16. Wish I had it back. Of course I wish I had every bike I ever sold back.

I rode mini bikes when I was 12, but my first street legal bike was a Kawasaki LTD 440. I got it when I was 16.

1996 Suzuki GSF 600 S (Bandit)

Not too bad I guess. Sort of Katana-esque. Pretty comfortable. OK on power. Seat sucked. I thought it was a sport bike.

I think I was 21 when I got it.

1997 Ninja 250. Bought it about 4 years ago for $750, never had it inspected. Tires were bad, it had a hiccup when gunning it from a slow speed, was scraped up, but it was fun to ride. I sold it a few months after buying it for $1000, within days of putting it up for sale.
