Question help - returning to riding - will be daily rider

I am currently in Thailand and I will be returning to the States (Florida) in Apr of 06. I am planning on getting my third bike after an approx. 6 year break from riding. I started on a Honda Rebel 250, moved up to a VF500 Interceptor (it had mechanical problems and at the time I couldn't get it fixed) followed by the 6 year break in riding. I rode for about 4 years before the break.

My thoughts are to either get a YZF600R or a SV650S (new) and I intend to ride it everyday to commute on.

Are there any issues that anyone can think of that I will need to consider?

I've read lots of things about the seating on the SV being more "normal" and less aggressive. The 600R will be more aggressive. Sitting on them in the showroom might be misleading so riding each would be ideal. Easier done when looking at private sale used rides.

Can't recall the word on comfort for each, but there are a few of each being ridden by members, so hopefully they'll throw out their
