Unhappy Another rider taken out by a cage...

Motorcyclist killed in smash

A motorcyclist has died after a smash with a car on the Mount Lindesay highway in Brisbane's south.

The man, in his late 30s, died at the scene after his bike and the car collided at the intersection of the highway and Chambers Flat Road about 6.30pm (AEST) today, police said.

The male driver of the car was transported to Logan Hospital with minor injuries.

This happened only 2km north of where I turn off the highway! It's a rural highway so the intersection is just a flat one with no lights. The cage apparently pulled out in front of the bike.

Be safe guys.

In God, we trust; all others must provide data.

Here in B.C. Cdn & not to far from my terrain is this climb from Osoyoos on Hwy 97 up to the Hwy 3 to the lovely twisties to Anarchist Pass to continue on to Grand Forks, Creston, Cranbrook, Kimberley & such towns.

Seems either just before hitting the twisties or just at the top a Honda (that is all we got was make) m/c lost control & ploughed into an oncomming Harley.

Not necessarily killed by had to be hiked off to Vancouver B.C., by chopper. This was last week-end. You just have to love week-ends & we are coming onto the worst being long week-end of Labour Day.

Turns out a bunch from around B.C., were at some gathering & the twisties up & down from Osoyoos to top of the pass at Ancharist had intrigued so many riders that they were storming up & down for most of the day.

Problem is all bends are blind corners so you are lost unless you know exactly what is coming.

The Honda rider simply lost control when coming down to get into the oncoming lane & threw the bike down to end up totalling the HD while the Honda looked more like it had exploded for they could not find the power-plant, at the time, & the rider went down some 70 feet of the bank on the mtn.
