I haven't seen the movie, but in almost every movie I've seen a bike it's been either a Harley or a Ducati. "They're the best," right?

Anyway, I'm guessing Duc.

I thought it was a 500/250 ninja (I can never tell the difference between the two)

Kawasaki ZZR, per this thread and this thread. As with all Internet resources, consume with appropriate mass of sodium chloride.

slightly off topic... I dont see how anyone can distinguish a ZZR from the late 90s ninja 600. The new ZZR looks identical to me.

How as the ZZR conclusion drawn?

The ZX6E has been known as the ZZR600 for many years in Europe. However, if you do a google images search on ZZR500 or ZZR250 they all look quite similar.

Aside from the obvious, the easiest way to pick the difference is:

The 250 has 'ZZR' decals on the front side fairings.

The 600 has the decals on the back sides.

I sure wish the 500's and 250's looked like that in the U.S. instead of that old 80's "Top Gun" look. My lady friend needs a practice bike but the 250's are so damned ugly.
