Talking

Now I`m not bragging but I went for a run to Gold River yesterday and on one of the long straights with no traffic I thought I would do top speed run.Got tucked down and at 10,500 rpm(redline is 11,000) got to 260kmh(158mph).Only later did I realize I was in 5th,still had another gear. Was still exillarating though.

well with stock gearing i hit an indicated 175mph on y2k zx6r... in reality that was probably closer to 150mph in actual speed given the speedo error...

i was in 6th gear and bout 500-750 rpm's left b4 redline...

I hit 160 on the speedo(actual?)and even tucked behind the bubble it felt like my helmet was going to be ripped off my head. The turbulence started to blur my vision so I backed off.We have a lot of open highway with no traffic out here.....there is a time and a place for everything!

Cool

Fun, isn't it???I've been to 165mph (on the speedo) MANY times..And yes!!The wind moves your head all over the place...Bike stays nice and smooth, but the turbulence around my helmet is unreal..Have fun and be safe!!!!

I've hit 161, ever give or take 1 mph, at 13,000 rpms. That's all that she would give me. I've done it twice now, and still same result.

when i do a top speed run i always tuck in real tight, with my helmet all the way under the windscreen... like right on top of the dash, wit my visor touching the windscreen...

that helps reduce the wind blasts on my lid..
