Question

Okay guys and gals, here's the deal. I've got some discretionary income and I've decided to spend it on a riding school rather than landscape my front yard. Now, I just need to choose one. I'm waivering between Keith Code's California Superbike School and Freddie Spencer's High Performance Riding School. I'm on the west coast, so these are pretty much my only options. Both cost the same ($1850), but Code's course offers use of specially equipped "slide", "lean" and "braking" bikes. I'm looking at the two-day camps. If anyone has any advice or information about either course, I would be indebted for life and most likely name my first child after you. I'm putting a deposit down on a 2001 CBR929RR in a couple of months and I want to be able rip up the twisties with the bike's full potential, as well as my own. Thanks in advance for your learned opinions...

Code's school has high marks from most all reviews ive read. My only gripe is he is a Dyanetics whacko. Oh well, guess he can still teach us a thing or two about riding. And that slider bike is awesome!

I'd go to Spencer's. That way, I can just commute to the school....

since code goes outside vegas, i have talked to many people who've taken his school. they all say their corner speed is a lot higher. included in that group of people are some people i've surprised would still be going to schools. i guess you can never learn enough.

anyway, i'm sure both schools are awesome. you can probably make a wise choice based only on the track you'll visit.

the views and opinions expressed by tony (cbrf2boy) are the ramblings of a total idiot. sbw.com, it's administrators, moderators, and members don't necessarily agree with and are not responsible for anything this idiot has to say.

There's a pretty comprehensive overview of a batch of schools on The Interactive Motorcycle

You may find it helpful.
