Finally got the wheelie thing down! I have to pop the clutch while rolling slow, but I need more practice... still a little shaky and nervous, but I'll get it!! It's a blast though!! I always feel like it's going to flip over but I don't think so, a friend taped me practicing it, and I got a pic from it!

a 1999 ZX6R should power whellie in first gear, get it going at about 5,500rpm then drop the throttle and back on it hard, when you do this pull up on the bars alittle.

Is that why your left foot is off the peg? Get it back on and shift to second!

Thumbs up

Nice bro!!!! Take you time get used to
balancing it. You will eventually be able
to use hills to lift the front instead of
the clutch.. but one thing at a time man.

Congrats!!

I also would like to add to this and I will
probably post this another 1000 times b/c
I am so happy about it. I have always
loved to watch guys do stand up wheelies.
They look like they have such control and
poise... It's awe inspiring for me... Please
don't think I am bragging (well maybe I am
a little) but mostly I'm just really happy.
I have been pulling 200 yard stand up
wheelies on the R1 just within the last few
days... It IS so much fun. Don't worry guys
I feel very comfortable, I don't feel I am
out of control, it's just like sitting down
but I'm standing up.

Again bro, Props to ya.. Keep it up! (hehe)

Man, is Las Vegas Extremes hiring? YOU should be on the team! Maybe they'll open an east coast group... Or you could replace Gary Rothwell! Nice air.

chris_y2k_r1 is full of crap. He can hardley even let the clutch out yet w/o the bike stalling on him. Just ribbing chris. Can't wait to see one when we ride today! And nice wheelie JL1314 - now can you pour me a drink while doing that-I could sure use one right about now!

Good deal man. I used to take my feet off the pegs when I wheelied too. I guess I thought it would help something, I dunno. And Chris, there are no hills in Florida. The only hills I ever see are the ones going over the RR tracks, and the dump.

Thanks guys! It might take me a long time before I can do stand up wheelies or longer to pour drinks while doing one!! But I'll practice!!! I love watching people do them, they just look so awesome! Poetry in motion, I think! Anybody know a site with good wheelie pics??
