That's cool! I'd like to see a dyno for one of those things.

Always wondered why wankels did not take off. they seem superior to the piston concepts, especially for heavy duty applications like trucks.

Never took any interest. I was almost given the Suzy bike to test for a m/c mag, but fortunately it did not land on my shoulders for I am sure my report would not have been that incourging.

I rode it a few times, but really it was not interesting ESPECIALLY the specialized pipes one would have to use. It was around this time that some were taking an interest in better exhaust systems on other 2-stroke & 4-stroke machine.

The Nortons Dyno result is unlike a piston engine in that it has a very flat torque curve with plenty of torque at low revs.
Unfortunately the Suzuki RE5 was not the most successful of rotaries.
Mazda seem to be doing OK with the new RX8 car.
