Just Bought All My Gear Read!

Went out today to simply look around at bikes and gear and ended up buying my setup fully compatible for track.

I got the JR GPX 2 piece suit + shark helmet + Alpinestars GPS 3 boots + JR HighSide gloves

All of this with taxes = $1150 CDN you guys think I got a good deal?

And what do you guys think of my choices?

The real question is does your gear fit you and will you wear it all the time, some may argue that you didn't get the best gear on the market, but you are starting with a lot more than I did. I don't know on price but I am so happy to see a post like this. ATGATT

I fully intend to wear all of it as much as possible. I am a new rider and I will be getting my NEW 500R in about 3 weeks. I had the store owner help me with fiting of all my gear to make sure it was perfect.

Fits like a glove! I couldn't be happier. Oh and just so you know I got all black gear I love black!

Same here on the black just make sure you drink enough when riding in the heat, dehyration is bad news on a bike.

ya I experience some of that heat in the change room trying it on. I never expected it to be so hot. But Hopefully that means I will be able to ride in more colder weather to making my riding season longer

Good to see you all kitted out! The gear will vent pretty well as long as you're moving reasonably fast!

Sounds like a reasonable deal. If it's the same shop where you're purchasing your bike, make sure you keep getting some discount on future purchases!

Sounds like some nice gear for what you paid. If you like black and the heat gets to you, you might check out the AGV Viper leathers. I just picked up the jacket and my first thought is that it would be hot as hell (1.5 mm cowhide). I was amazed to find how well it vented. I usually arrive home pretty sweaty in my FS Mach 2 jacket, but first day in the AGV and I was dry and cool. Have fun on your 500R when you get it - good choice! Get ready for your 600 mile service though - its a little kick in the wallet ($300 US).
