let it begin

I have been riding bikes since I was a bout 12, and now I'm 23. I rode a 600cc Naked when I was 14, driven 750, dirt bikes and up and down the ladder. I'm NOT a Pro have never owned my own bike, but always been around friends with bikes and they let me taken them. I been wanting to get my own bike for some time but the road of life is always UNDER CONSTRUTION. Finally I can get one and want to know if I should start with a Honda 600cc, but I'm really after the CBR1000. Advice greatly appreciated even if not followed.

It all depends on what you plan on doing with it. Are you going to race it, track days, or just on the street? Will it be a commuter bike or a distance runner? You also have to consider factors such as body size and carrying passengers.

For example, if you are 140 lbs and only plan on riding the street and maybe the occasional track day, a 600 would be the best option.

Have fun.
