Question 2005 Yamaha's????

Has anybody here looked at the Yamaha-motor.com site? It shows 2005 under the super sport bike section, but it still shows the 2004 R6 and 2004 R1. I don't understand. Maybe they are keeping the colors the same and leaving the bikes the same all together for another year. I was really wanting to get the 2005 R1, I hope the color changes though.

All indications are that yamaha will not change anything on the bike in '05, except maybe paint. some redesign should come in '06 and a completely new models should be seen in '08.
However the gixxer should get an all new revamp in '05. anyone heard anything about that?

A bit soon for them or even us to be thinking about bikes in '05.

To-day I was down to get a new rear tyre for my Honda 929 (at the Yamaha shop) & saw my first Aprilia 1000 EVER so that is new enough for me.

I must have put around 8 hrs on the bike, for finally it has become warm, dark smoked helmet visor & last 2 hrs in a complete change of riding gear ------ signs that summer is here.

Yes this time I had them toss on a Bridgstone 101 or is is 010(?) anyway it felt good on the bike though Michelin Sport at the front. So clocked the last 1.5 hrs with the newbie on the rear.

How about the very first sentence? And which part of your post had to do with this thread? I'd like to see one thread in the GTR forum that's stayed 100% on topic.

I'm getting pretty tired of telling you to back off with the personal attacks, so I think this will be the last time.

To answer my own question (since I got a little free time to research the Yamaha web site a little longer), the new 2005 YZF600R is out. The other bikes are still 2004. I am sorry I started these personal attacks inbetween others. It was just a simple question that I could have known before if I had the time to when I originaly posted this.

You didn't cause anything, so don't sweat it. This is something that has been going on here recently, and will be dealt with if need be. Ask whatever questions you have, that's what the site is for.

I do not think the gix 1k is going to be totally revamped, but I am sure it is going to go through some engine modifications, to make it more of a beast at the rear wheel....it needs it! Not that any of us need it, but as far as status goes, the bike needs it.

In fact though it must have been a typo error that went out with a batch of their pamphlets without anyone noticing it.

Often if it is hard to find out what will be next till sometime like late November.
