Yamaha R6 Crank case cover

Hey Guys,

I'm in search of a part for a friend whose bike fell over at a stand still.

How much does the crank case cover on the left side cost for an R6. In case I'm not referring to this part in the correct terminology, its the lower part of the engine that is exposed right near the left foot peg. Also how difficult is it to replace? I assume the left side faring needs to come off. Are there any torque specs that are associated with this part?

the scratches are very minor and not really that far into the metal at all, as the bike was not moving when it fell over. Are there any kits out there to fix minor scratches such as what I have explained? I'd imagine some sort of filler, bit of sanding and paint would do the trick nicely, but I am unaware of any sort of process to fix such an issue.

Where are some cheap places to get a left side crank case cover?

Thanks for any help!!

I am so tempted to say something here BUT I will not.

Sorry but have no idea of your costs.

I'm pretty sure if you search the common webiste for AM parts you can find them for both sides. I think you can find after market carbon fiber ones also.

Check on this site also. There is a list some place that deals with cheap OEM parts for yamaha.

Both sides on my bike are scratched, but its really no big deal. I got it like this.
