Well, he said "Universal", not 'spooled'.

But if he said 'Spooled', I would have answered "Redline" or "Hindle".

PitBull is overpriced.

Ok this is a noob question since all the bikes I've had before the 600RR have had Center stands on them, well except for the 2001 shadow but it has nothing underneath the frame so we use a bike jack.

What is the difference in universal and spooled, since I'm in the same market to buy one now.

Thanks

get spools for your bike, then have a look at the Graves stand...very easy to use, and great quality too..

Universal has pad-like things that fit under the swingarm.

Spools are like the things thread is wound on when you buy it for a sewing-machine. 'Cept these are aluminum, and bolted to your swingarm, for a stand with little fork-like extensions to pick the bike up with.

I would agree with PitBull and they are hardly overpriced. Just look around the net and you can find deals on them. I know www.tricktape.com has deals every now and again. You can get them in spooled or universal as well as the front stands.
