painted windscreens

anyone done it? if so, what color, did you use clear over it, and has anyone used any anodized paints....any pics?

I've never done it but remember seeing an article a while back about it. Basically it said to paint the inside only, because any paint you put on the outside will get chipped all to hell with road debris and end up looking like crap. I think they did clear-coat it, but don't quote me on that. Couldn't hurt I wouldn't think, but I really don't know.

Out of curiousity, why are you wanting to paint it? Most of the colored aftermarket ones I've seen (except for the dark smoke ones) still give you some visibility through the screen in the event of tucked up riding. Painting would take away any visibility wouldn't it?
