my new R6: worst decision, EVER.

so I made a big mistake of picking up a 2004 R6 today. apprentlly some people are a few taco's short of a combination platter. and apprentlly, i am one of those people. here's what happened;

For some dumb reason I told the dealer I'd come around 4:30pm to get my new bike. Now mind you, I live right in the middle of a big city (Boston). 4:30pm is, well...lets just say that 4:30 is not a time of day conducive for open roads. something about "rush hour". AND a Red Sox game. AND everyone else is leaving the city so even the suburban roads are back-up. 4:30pm. Great idea. Fucking brilliant. Fucking EINSTEIN. So there I am, sitting in a virtual parking lot, on my brand new bike, looking at the 3 miles on my odometer. going no where. fast. knowing it was gonna be at least another 25 min before i made it to 4 miles. i finally made it out of major traffic, and then I had all kinds of fun

Newbies, beware! Even if your silly enough to get a 600cc for your first bike, please don't be dumb enough to pick the bike up during rush hour like some of us more *cough* "experienced" riders.

BTW, I'd post picks of the new bike, but everyone knows what a 2004 R6 looks like by now. However, if you have never seen one, or want to be reminded, I posted a pick of mine in my photo section in the member photos area.

off to go riding again!

WARNING
If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

haha, yeah. the bike rocks. i convinced a friend of mine to get an 04 R6 back in february. of course, this was just so i could test ride the bike for a soild month or so before spending my *own* money on it. hehe.

yeah, the bike is great. despite the fact that it's got new tires and i've got to deal with that break-in stuff for awhile, it handles great. it's going to take a bit of gettined used to compared to me last bike (1979 honda CB750), but that it to be expected with any new bike.

vroomn vroom!

Sweet sh*t bro. Take it easy though don't want to hear the news of you going down on that nice bike and possible getting hurt. If I'm ever over that way again, maybe we can get together and ride. Enjoy the bike.

Congrats on the new bike. Its going to be a few years before I get a new one. But I'm pretty happy with the 01 I have.

Bike looks good to. I'd like to Ride an 03 or 04 just to see how it compares to my 01

What's a better way to test out your new bike, then by lanesplitting?

well, i don't want to admit publically *cough* that i can be a bit of a squid sometimes...BUT it would be fair to say that my bike passed that test with flying colors very early in it's life
