Does anyone else utilize the kickstand turn (may not be the proper term) when getting out of tight spaces?
When I say kickstand turn, I mean leaning the bike over with all the weight on the kickstand and turning the bike around 180 degrees while on the kickstand. I do it, but i've afraid it going to buckle one day.
I do every time I take my bike off my porch, and have gotten quite good at it. As for the buckeling look at it this way. That stand is a solid piece of steel, do you know how much pressure it takes to bend steel? I'd guess well over 500 pounds.

If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler
I turn my bike around like that in my garage all the time. I do sometimes worry about the kick stand breaking. It would suck if you were out somewhere and it broke like the one in the movie 'Biker Boyz'.
