extended swingarms

..is there a special use or purpose for them?? they look nice

Yes, they make the bike harder/less likely to wheelie when you launch it, or between shifts.

Actually the extended swinging arm is for drag bikes. In that form they do not corner worth a darn in town or on th hwy.

wantanaprilia is correct for it is MAINLY so the front end will not lift during drag racing.

On the street it is for posers. You probably saw it through the so called movie of Biker Boyz (or whatever it was called) & might have seen it on some bikes that have been done basically for posers.
