Thumbs up #1 Plastic Repair

94vfr fell off the kick stand earlier this year, (as mentioned before) and cracked the fairing. Bummer Soooo sad for me!

Body shop want's $350. to repair it, and that's with me pulling it off my bike, and removing all the instrumentation. Wrong. As you can imagine, this bike is 10 yrs old now, and removing any screws from the plastic is just begging to snap something.

While in Laguna this year, I ran into the perfect fix;

This stuff is AWESOME!!! The crack in the fairing is about 4in. long. I just took the dremel and "v"ed out the crack on the inside of the piece a bit, stuck Scotch tape on the outside of the piece, (so nothing would leak through) followed the "simple" instructions, and, waa-laa. Just a little touch up filing with a jewlers file, some fingernail polish to match the red and good to go.

I can't say enough about the simplicity of this product as well as the function. Beats putting it on insurance, or giving it to some body shop. Or worse yet, picking up a "half sponser" and putting a sticker over the crack just to cover the defect. My buddy has stickers all over half of his Katana to cover scratches, we bug him all the time about his "half sponserships". Ya gotta love it. This is probably my curse for teasing him.

If your lookin for a quick fix that "works", this is the ticket.
