"friend to motorcyclists" on trial for man slaughter

http://venus.13x.com/roadracingworld...sp?insert=7957

another careless/worthless scumbag is about to get anyway with killing a motorcyclist. but hopefully his peers will remove him from congress when he's found guilty and sentenced to 18 minutes of community service.

I guarantee he'll get off with a slap on the wrist! They're using a medical condition as a defense? PULEEEZE, then he shouldn't have a liscense at all. He is just a TERRIBLE driver! Put him away for what he did!!!

Is it me, or have all things about politics made you sick to your stomach? I mean, yeah, I was pretty cynical through the 80s/90s, but now I'm just plain disgusted with politicians. Where else can you get free $ and be immune to typical prosecution?

This one's a good example, who will prolly get 18 seconds of community service if he flubs up his defense.

Hold on...he hasn't been tried yet, so he hasn't gotten off...I believe if the AMA, and the MC commuinty, and concerened citizens alike put enough pressure on the legal system, and the keep this trial in the lime light, hopefully, just hopefully, he'll get his just due, which should be the MAXIMUM sentence..And, I say if he does get off, we all go up there and kick his butt...

They may not be able to get a partial jury without shopping for a forum where people don't know this a$$hole. Keep looking until you find the right jurors, that's what I hope they do.

Ten years for a life? Not nearly enough. Since he is a politician, he should at least hang by his nuts until the Hells Angels come along and "cut him loose".

yeah, i smoke a lot of crack and i'm always angry.

hammer is right, but i have no faith in the legal system when it comes to nailing one of their own (except for the occasional cop they make an example of).

i think the thing that angers me so much is this is a guy who was supposed to be on our side. this was a guy who went he was governor took a lot of credit for the growth of sturgis. but what bothers me the most is this isn't the first time he's "driving" habits have come into question. it's just the first time he encountered a motorcyclist during his road-bound carelessness.

Well, is that going to be required if I run down someone on my bike? Probably not; I'll get a serious, bang-me-in-the-ass sentence. That's what's shitty; we shouldn't have to make a fuss, he should simply be convicted and sentenced as any other shmoe on the street.

The latter part seems cool, though I'm partial to involving Hell's Angels and the like per Fuster's comment.
