Exclamation Bikes totaled, emergency rooms suck. *updated pics of bike*

So, had an accident today - was leaving the mall, on my way to a job interview, and for some reason as I hit the gas leaving, the throttle stuck, i pulled in the clutch, and not thinking straight, thought that because it slowed down, the throttle was ok, when i let back down the clutch, it jumped up to wheelie, and i pulled in the clutch again, hit the front brake and it locked, bike slid out from under me to the right, and fell to the left, slammed down and hit so hard it did a pivot flip with me on top of it, and slammed down backwards on it's right side, slid on my right leg for about 20 yards, before somehow denting the hood of a parked cadillac, i ended up about 4 inches from a sign post.
I had on a Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket, which held up perfect. I had on khaki's, didn't do well - my timberlands saved me from being any worse, and I should've been wearing gloves. I had my helmet on. Pictures of the bike tomorrow, it's totaled.

sorry to hear man i hope you recover quickly.....i think they should make a device that can limit the amount of open throttle in situations like that.....it happened to me allready and i am lucky there was a shoulder to lean more on...it would be like a button that you can switch to parking lot mode or somting

Strange accident. Fortunately the jacket did its job, & from what I can see or read it is basically skin rash, but no broken bones. Along with some muscle damgage/twists/strain to your right leg & ankle from the way it is wrapped. You will be stiff & sore for some weeks.

Still not wearing gloves ----- if you saw my hands you would never ride without gloves. Skin graftings & not one finger or thumb has not been broken, bunged up or with crushed bones YET I was wearing working gloves & gloves of competition for the time in the late 40s to early 90s--in those days a light leather with some bits of rubber over the hand & fingers..

Sorry to read about the ruddy prang & your bike being totalled. One of the disadvantges or riding & trying to balance a two-wheeled m/c VS 4-wheeled cage. Hope you heal well.

That sucks. But I like how you're talking on the phone and taking pictures of your injuries

As for something that limits throttle, you're not serious are you AudioSolstice?

WARNING
If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

yeah i know its a crazy idea....and probally isnt possible.....maybe not limiting throttle but making it harder to twist the throttle in parking lot mode making it less likely to give it the juice all the way on accident

I`m not even sure what to comment on that

BOT... sorry to hear about your accident, especially since you just got the bike not too long ago (that was you that just got the zx7 right?) anyways, hopefully insurance will come out to your favor or something, and you won`t have to shell out ALL the cash for a new bike, and you`ll heal quickly...

Take it easy

Hehe, take a lickin' and keep on kickin' isn't that how it goes? im actually just kind of ticked the best road rash is covered with that cast. besides the road rash, i have to hairline fractures in bones in my right foot, nothing too bad. I got to see the bike today, but no pictures til tomorrow, the front (Right at the headlights) hit a sign post, probably bent forks, alll the front plastic, and both sides are thrashed, but other than the forks, mechanically it looks ok - gonna try to crank it when i go see it tomorrow, oh well.
This road rash makes me feel like a if i ride again, it'll be in full leathers.
