low mileage

hello everyone i am new to this forum have been lurking for a few weeks.

thinking of buying a used bike (97 honda CBR600f3) the bike looks and sounds clean. The problem is that it only has 3900 miles. That seems quite low and i am wondering what u all think. Can a bike every have too few miles? What problems should i look for.

thanks, josh

3900 miles, interesting… I would suggest taking the bike to your nearest friendly Honda dealer and have them check it out. If you can’t do that take the VIN number to them, tell them you are thinking about purchasing this bike and ask them to run the number through the computer to see if there is a service record. It will show any and all service preformed on that bike by an authorized Honda dealer and it will show the mileage on the bike at each service preformed.

Actually it sounds like a sweet bike and hardly broken in at 3900 miles Good luck.

never2old has given the best advice. Mind you once in a while the owner will have simply lost interest in m/cing, lost m/cing friends, wife or parents problems, or financial matters AND in that case once a few things are corrected the bike will be a good by & I hope this is so in your case.
