Talking Drag racing gone bad

Ok here is the deal. A guy in a grand prix and not even the gtp (the super charged one)takes off and forgets to let me know we were racing. So i didn't do anything. Anyways caught up with him at the next light. And i'm in neutral and he goes "Do you want to race." And i say "Might as well." As i'm saying this the light turns green. I have my hand resting on the throttle open and i reach up to be able to twist it and hit the kill switch with my thumb. Only happened b/c of the way i had my hand up there. Anyways i restart and still would have be able to catch him but then i false neutraled at which point in time i said screw it and just caught up with him. I didn't want to pass him at 130 at night. Anyways, there were four guys in the car and i was laughing my ass off at this point in time and they were making the what happend motions and i just took my hand off the clutch and shrugged my shoulders.

At least this was at night and they probably won't recongnize me in the day light. Plus due to the fact I never moved off the line and the motions they were making when i caught up hopefully they think i just didn't want to race.

Anyways, that was the first time anyone had asked my to race and i blew it.

I suck. I know.

I know how that feels.

My nephew wanted to see a wheelie so I get all set, cruise @ about 10mph pull the clutch in, crank up the revs & just as I'm letting the clutch go pop it into neutral Needless to say I looked pretty silly with my bike screaming & I'm going nowhere.
Unfortunately he reminds me of my lame attempt every time he sees me by calling me Uncle Kneivel
The little smart a$$
I suck @ wheelies anyway but geez you would think the wheelie gods could show me a little love.
I should mention this kid rides a KX 80 & can do some impressive stuff for a little guy.

Yep, I also know the feeling. I made myself look stupid in front of some Harley riders soon after I got the Bandit. There were about four of them parked across the street from where I was stopped at a light. I thought "Lets show them a little speed coming away from this light" I took off, wound it up in first, then promptly shifted into neutral. The motor screamed, the bike went nowhere, the Harley guys laughed. Good thing for full face helmets.
