new here and lost&confused

iam finishing my bike course this weekend and looking to get a bike next week, i went to get a insurace quote and got
Honda CBR600 2000-$3600
Kawaski ninja 500-$1600
Iam 17
all price in cdn and after bike course discount

they said the reason so much difference is that CBR is sport bike and ninja was kinda semi sport, so i am asking what should i get for a begginer, If i get the ninja which will save me thousands can i add my own body on it to look more aggresive?

Sounds like your riding a Ninja

Seriously, it really varies by company policy on how they look at and price different people and vehicles.

I recently saved $2400/year on my car insurance going from State farm to Mercury Casualty!! For The Same Coverage and deductibles! ~~ Ya gotta shop around.

Granted I have the minimum insurance allowed by the Powers of Massachusetts on my F3, but I pay $145 a year. Sounds like you've gotten a few too many speeding tickets ( ) or you need to do some more shopping. In Massachusetts, anything over a 600 cc is subject to a surcharge.

There are way too many variables to try to give you a figure of what you should be paying. But being that you are very young and inexperienced (in the insurance companies pov) you're not gonna get the super good rates. I would ride the EX500 for awhile, its still a fun bike!
